Helena de Medeiros
Born in Porto, Portugal, Helena de Medeiros has graduated at London Fashion School and Escola Superior de Artes e Design. Her work as a Costume Designer is dedicated mainly to Contemporary Ballet but also to Cinema, Theatre and Opera. She has collaborated with great choreographers such as Gradimir Pankov, Iracity Cardoso, Louis Robitaille, Mauro Bigonzetti, Richard Wherlock, Vasco Wellemkamp, Xin Peng Wang, Ricardo Fernando and Andrew Mcnicol.
Alongside with her career as a costume designer Helena has a parallel career as a Fine Artist. She exhibits regularly since 1990 in solo exhibitions around the world. Helena’s paintings establish an important dialogue with the work of Costume Designer performed by the artist.
